I have been interested in Japanese culture since I was very young. I play video games, watch anime, read mangas, and even shop at the japanese inspired Atmos in Harlem. My cousin is currently spending a year in Okinawa to teach English. I am studying Japanese because I wish to study abroad in Japan in the near future.

I used to live in Okinawa when I was little. I also went there when I was in junior high school. Okinawa is a wonderful place in terms of nature and food. If you have a chance, you should visit your brother!

I'm also interested in studying in Japan. I got an email the other day about an information session for living with a host family there and studying. I don't know if you got it but it's on Friday, at 403 Kent from 12:15-1:00pm...you might want to check it out just to get an idea of what these study programs are like.

ANIME IS GREAT!
I watched gundam a while ago and it is on my list of ones to get back into. I heard gundam seed was great so after I finish the one I am currently on (getbackers) I'll be sure to check that out.
and about metal gear, I have a ps3 and a copy of the game in my room lol so if you wanna get some old snake action or perhaps pwn nubs online, let me know lol =D

Awesome! I really would love to study abroad in Japan to or maybe do the JET program. My love of Japanese culture came more recently (about the start of high school) when I became interested in more than just anime and manga and videogames, and started looking into all aspects of Japanese culture. I really enjoy it and its great to find so many other people who do too.
